At Lemmy Create, we believe that children learn best when they are free to follow their ideas. We Believe
In the process, not the product — creativity grows through exploration and experimentation.

Meet the Founder
Hi! Im Nakeeta
I’m the founder of Lemmy Create Art Studio, a mother of three, and an artist and educator with many years of experience in immersive art direction. I’ve dedicated my life to creating spaces where children can explore, experiment, and express themselves through hands-on, open-ended art experiences.
As both a professional artist and a parent, I deeply understand the value of play, curiosity, and freedom in learning. I believe that every child is inherently creative, and my mission is to give them the space, materials, and guidance to discover their own artistic voice — while having fun along the way.
Outside the studio, I’m constantly seeking inspiration, exploring new artistic techniques, and dreaming up ways to make creativity accessible and joyful for children of all ages. Lemmy Create Art Studio is my way of sharing that passion — a space where children can be fully themselves, dive into the process, and uncover the joy of making.
Our Approach
At Lemmy Create Art Studio, we believe that young children are natural artists and innovators. Our goal is to provide opportunities for children to explore the world around them, harnessing their innate curiosity through hands-on, open-ended creative experiences that inspire and challenge them.
We know that children learn best when given freedom within clear parameters. By providing basic art materials and open-ended invitations, we help children engage in critical thinking, problem-solving, and self-directed exploration. Our studio is designed with a variety of art and creativity stations that stimulate imagination, curiosity, and empower children to take control of their own learning.
Research shows that unstructured, open-ended play fosters cooperation, independence, social engagement, and a sense of belonging. While we share many philosophies with innovative play-based and outdoor preschools, we are not a daycare. We have found that children feel more relaxed and confident — and willing to take creative risks — when trusted caregivers are nearby, and parents also feel comfortable allowing their children to fully engage in messy, hands-on play in a safe environment.
The art experiences at Lemmy Create have a lasting impact on children’s development and self-esteem. By creating spaces that nourish and encourage creativity and innovative thinking, our studio serves the community and advocates for the creative growth of our youngest residents.
